Romantic Times- 4 1/2 stars Top Pick!!  “Lord’s hallmark style of blending magic into tales with deliciously flawed heroes and spirited heroines makes her a beloved storyteller . . .” – Kathe Robin, Romantic Times reviewer on WILD ANGEL, a 4 ½ TOP PICK

Gifted author, Sasha Lord has written another incredible medieval, WILD ANGEL, Book #6 in her Wild series for Signet Eclipse/January 2008 which is perhaps her most touching book to date.  It features free spirited gypsy, Ashleigh accompanied by her loyal raven, Cairdean and emotionally scarred, Mangan, a monk in training of noble birth.  As in Ms. Lord’s previous books in this series, animals are great secondary characters in her plots due to her strong veterinary roots.

In 11th century France, emotionally scarred, Mangan, heir of the Earl of Kirkcaldy, is sick of killing and battles.  So he decides to enter the monastery and denounces his heritage.  A year later in Scotland, Brother Mangan is still angry so before taking his final vows he is given a holy quest by the abbot of  St. Ignacio Abbey to find a missing relic of the only remaining piece of the baby Jesus’ blanket.  Ashleigh, a wild gypsy girl is traveling through the Highlands with her beloved parents to visit her dying noble grandmother she has never met.  While en route her parents are accused of being spies and murdered by ruthless nobles who force a local villager to assist them in their evil deeds while Ashleigh hides.  She is so traumatized by the experience she is unable to function for several days until she is befriended by a black raven she names, Cairdean.  Over the initial shock, Ashleigh goes a little crazy and vows revenge on her parents’ killers.  When she almost drowns in the river, it is Mangan, who rescues her on his faithful steed, Sir Scott.   Mangan wonders why a beautiful peasant girl is wandering around the forest alone and tries to find out her secrets.  But Ashleigh is distrustful of all men now and it takes several chance meetings and their growing attraction before these two team up and discover an evil plot to kill the king of Scotland.   Each tale in Sasha Lord’s Wild series has been unique and compelling and her writing prose keeps on getting better and better.  However, with WILD ANGEL there is not only Ms. Lord’s signature sensuality and sense of humor but a spiritual connection between her hero and heroine that will uplift readers’ hearts!”

 Romance Reviews Today
"Having read Ms. Lord's previous book in this series, IN A WILD WOOD (August 2004), I am again struck by this author's ability to imbue her work with originality, complexity, sensuality, and elements of the mystical. I certainly recommend ACROSS A WILD SEA, and while readers need not have read the other two books in the series beforehand, I feel I understood and really appreciated Xanthier O'Bannon better for having read IN A WILD WOOD first... I would suggest readers become acquainted with the entire Wild series."

 Virginia Henley
" The most powerful voice to emerge in years. "

 Romantic Times
"In A Wild Wood is a TOP PICK! August 2004. Dark and filled with potent sensuality and rough sex (a la early Johanna Lindsey), Lord's lastes pushes the boundries with an emotionally intense, sexually charged tale"

 Lisa Kleypas
"'Under A Wild Sky' is a gorgeous, full-blooded novel by a remarkable new author.  Sasha Lord's intensely romantic voice is a gift to the genre.  With self-assured prose and blistering sensuality, this writer creates magic."

 Bertrice Small
"Sasha Lord weaves a most imaginative tale."

 Publishers Weekly
"(UNDER A WILD SKY) is not your mother's romance... Sasha Lord's sexy historical (has) vivid action scenes and graphic lovemaking."
