The little munchkin is already 5 months old and making my life a bit more complicated! Nonetheless, BEYOND A WILD WIND is ready for her debut in Feb, 2006, and I am currently working on the next book DEEP IN MY WILD DREAM, a tale about another one of Kalial's impetuous and talented daughters. She has prophetic dreams, but one has not yet come true. It is about a powerful, passionate warrior, and she senses he is in terrible danger... but more about that one later! For now, I want to encourage everyone to enter the WIND contest. The drawing will be soon!

I have received some fantastic answers from my fans ranging from elephants to dolphins! I would love to include more entrants in the contest, but the deadline is coming fast. Last entries will be December, 2005. Here is a hint for the careful readers: The animal is visible somewhere on the site, and it is a creature destined for medieval kings!

My baby is growing fast! She blows raspberries constantly!!

Hope love and magic fills your days --Sasha

3/21/05- Mindy L. - "SEA" Contest Entry
Well being blind alone makes her different. But I think she has more mystery to her. She can walk about by relying on her other senses. The part in the book that brought her out from other heroines is she seemed like an avenging angel; when she saved Xanthier. She called upon the elements of the earth... In my eyes that makes her like a goddess.

Comments: How do you write the sex scenes? Isn't a little weird to have your like fantasies down on paper for EVERYONE to read?
Sasha's Answer: Yes, it can be a bit odd sometimes, especially when people start talking about the specifics at a book signing or when they look at my husband and raise their eyebrows!

3/21/05- Eileen
Comments: Hi Sasha,
I got the beautiful cover picture (I'm not sure what it is really called) of your newest book Across a Wild Sea the other day in the mail. Wow, what a surprise! And what a beautiful pic, and it's autographed by you. I'm so excited and I absolutely love it. I'm going to put it in a frame. Thank you so much. I'm reading Across a Wild Sea right now, and I am really enjoying the book. This is the first time I have read one of your books and I'm hooked. Thanks again for the surprise.

3/20/05- Irene N.
Comments: I just finished reading Across a Wild Sea and went back and read in a Wild Wood. I think that you are an absolute genius. I have never been so moved as I have been reading these books. In a Wild Wood was spectacular, I loved the characters, especially, Alannah. Reading about her when she was riding her horses, I felt like I was there. In a Wild Wood was also excellent I just loved Matalia, she also was an absolutely incredible character. I will now go back again and read Under a Wild Sky. I can't wait. So far this series has been the most imaginative, the most interesting series I have read, and trust me I read a lot of books. You are an incredibly talented writer and should receive numerous awards for all of these books. Thank you so much and never, please, never stop writing! best wishes, Irene
Sasha's Answer- Thank you! In fact, Under A Wild Sky has been nominated for best Historical Medieval Romance of 2004 by Romantic Times!

3/19/05- Brittany C.
Comments: Sasha has the most powerful and erotic voice, she makes it almost real and doesn't leave out a thing and I can never put down her books. 'Across A Wild Sea' was the most amazing, sensual, erotic, romantic, and loving book I have read.
Sasha's Answer- Thanks Brittany!

3/17/05- LeAnna M. - "SEA" Contest Entry
Of course the two most obvious differences between Alannah and the usual romance novel heroines are her blindness, and her having grown up in the wild (instead of the usual mansion or castle) with only one other human being.
These two circumstances made her much more independent, self sufficient, and much more connected to nature and animals, most especially to her horse. So, when she was among people in Scotland she was not 'hung up' on social conventions.
Among many other refreshing differences between Alannah and the usual romance novel heroine, was that Alannah, even though she was innocent, she was not shy of, or embarrassed by, her sexuality. She was an equal participant in her and Xanthier's sexual encounters from the first.
Sasha's Answer- Awesome answer, very well thought out.

3/11/05- Leslie K. - "SEA Contest Answer"
I have to tell you, with all the books I read, your voice and your style of writing is wonderful. The fact that your heroine was "handicapped" yet lived a full life was wonderful. Not only was it believable but it was heart felt... Alannah's strength and determination [during the final scene] was strong enough to overcome her personal restrictions. I think you did a wonderful job with that scene because it was such a "visual" scene for the reader.

3/1/05- Terri P.
Comments: Dear Sasha, I have been divorced for 5 years and reading your books took my breath away. I have every one that you wrote and will keep on until you stop. You give me hope that one day I will find the one for me and will never have to search again. The wild series are just wonderful. Your a wonderful writer, truly a fan for life. Thank for hope again.
Sasha's Answer- Divorce is a difficult decision and a very hard time, but the one thing I discovered after my divorce was that there is often someone else waiting for you that is inspiring, loving and supportive. I am madly in love with my new husband and could not be happier! Best of Luck.

1/15/05- Jocelyn S. - "WOOD" Contest Entry
Answer: My favorite scene is in the book In A Wild Wood. I love the part close to the end where Isadora is trying to win the inheritance of Kirkcaldy by cheating and steeling. It is an extravagant part to read and it left me on the edge of my chair waiting to read what she was planning next to try and when what is not rightfully hers.
Sasha's Answer- Isn't Isadora a fascinating villain? You will see the effects of her wretchedness in BEYOND THE WILD WIND, coming Feb 2006.

12/23/04- Cristin - "SKY" Contest Entry
Answer: Under A Wild Sky is one of the most vivid, imaginative novels I have read in quite a while. One of the most memorable scenes, for me, is when Ronin thwarts his cousins plan to ravish a drugged Kalial... you read on with horror as the scene unfolds, left to wonder just who is a part of that exquisitely erotic scene... It is only when Ronin pauses in the aftermath of the hallway with Ian that you let out the breath you had been holding with a shaky sigh and a little smile. This book was truly a magical experience. Thank you... I can not wait to read In A Wild Wood.

12/9/04- Jamie H. - "WOOD" Contest Entry
Answer: My favorite part was when brogan kissed Matalia for the first time and told her that he wants their child to have her spirit & her charm. The willfulness that drives her on.
Sasha's Answer- The first kiss is one of the most powerful scenes in the entire book! I'm glad you recognized it.

11/20/04- Heather B. - "WOOD" Contest Entry
Answer: I really enjoyed the scene in "In A Wild Wood" where Matalia is walking around with her wolves, communicating with them and it is such a shock to Brogan. I feel that there is a little bit of her and her mother in all of us, we all have a deep connection with the animals and the world around us if only we open our eyes, hearts and souls to it. You write about their special bonds with the forest and her creatures, but we live in a time where people are unaware of such a bond, both purposefully or because they do not know any better. The relationships between your characters, male and female, human and animal were so refreshing I had to go out and buy the hard copies to add to my collection. Thank you for such wonderful stories...I can't wait to read "Across A Wild Sea" when it comes out. Being such an avid reader of many forms of romance novels, I find yours a breath of fresh air...literally!

11/18/04- Jackie A. - "SKY" Contest Entry
Answer: My favorite part of the book is when Kalial and Ronin are joined at the wrist....It is then that Ronin finally realizes that loving Kalial is more important than possessing her....

10/24/04- Lisa B.
Comments: Hello Ms. Lord, I'd like to introduce myself, Lisa B. from Albany, NY. I can honestly say that I am now a devoted fan! I also have to admit, and be perfectly honest with you, that the sex you describe was GREAT! Some writers have a way of not exactly getting right down to the nitty gritty of the act or their descriptions of what the characters are doing is brief and not stirring at all. Yours on the other hand was quite descriptive and made me tingle all over. (As one of the members of our club said, "the dirtier the better!) Our group has a lot of laughs when we start talking about authors who have "great sex scenes" in their books because I think we're a bit embarrassed to confess that we truly love it when there is.
Sasha's Answer- Get into bed, light a candle, put on some good music and Enjoy!

10/21/04- Angela B. - "SKY" Contest Entry
Answer: What a ridiculous question to ask someone. What is my favorite scene from "Under a Wild Sky" or "In a Wild Wood"?!?! Is there really anyone out there who did not swoon over the love scene on the back of the horse in "Under an Wild Sky"??? The beauty of that moment will forever be seared into the back of my brain. (I want to buy a horse just so my husband and I can try that sometime.) And the cherry on top was the child conceived by that very passionate, spiritual moment. Sasha's Answer- That was my editor's favorite scene, too!

9/30/04- Sigrun S. - "WOOD" Contest Entry
Answer: I liked the first scene in the excerpt from "In a Wild Wood". It's great to see a young women waging a battle against three men with only a sword and three wolves. Makes her very Amazonian, and, to Brogan, somewhat magical.

9/3/04- Ifalna - "WOOD" Contest Entry
Answer: There are two scenes in In a Wild Wood that I would consider to be my favorites: the first two love scenes. They are both so delicious, how could I possibly choose? In the first scene, Matalia has Brogan completely at her mercy, which would be yummy enough, but he finds away to turn the tables on her and things get even steamier. In the second, Matalia tries to get sassy with Brogan by saying something pretty rude just to be nasty, and Brogan retaliates by proving his claim over her as her husband. Both scenes (and all of those in the book) are incredibly erotic, and I love the use of naughty language that so many romance authors are too afraid to use. Needless, to say, for the two days it took me to read this book (and for several days after), my boyfriend was one very happy camper. I hope the next is this tasty!

7/23/04- "What's Your Favorite Scene" contest entry from Anita
The scene that I like best is from Under A Wild Sky--When Kalial is watching Ronin from her hiding place. How you described him being drenched with sweat, and [how] his back muscles rippled and bulged. I liked this best because it made my imagination run wild.
Sasha's Answer- Very Hot! And I like the 'wild' imagination part!

7/17/04- Letter from Julie
Does each of your Wild books stand alone to read?
Sasha's Answer- Absolutely, but you do get a bit more depth to the character development if you meet the heros and heroines in the earlier books when they are first introduced as secondary characters. Best answer... read them all!

7/13/04- Letter from Karen
I really enjoyed your first book of the Wild Series "Under A Wild Sky", I have been counting down the days until August when the next one is released. I see you have also, named the 3rd book in the series.

Are there going to be more than 3 or is it just going to be a triology? Hoping for more than 3.

New Fan,
Karen
Sasha's Answer- There will defiantly be more than three! I'm not sure where the triology idea got started, but I never had a specific number in mind. Right now I have four scheduled.
